That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.
Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.
When was the last time I blogged? Ah yeah, right. I have been very busy with LIFE lately. With the death of my grandmother, funeral, and stuff… PLUS my scheduled work tasks that had been set long before my grandma’s death added to my burdens. It took me awhile to regroup and go back to my normal boring life. I guess, after I sorted all things up for this week, I’ll be totally back in the zone again. Wohoo!
Well, as of this writing, there is a major family gathering happening right now. I locked up in my room (as usual) and finished this BOOK which I was totally obsessing and sure enough IT DIDN’T DISAPPOINT.
*Sigh* *Sigh* *Sigh* The title… Hopeless. OMGEEEE. The meaning behind it. It broke my heart — IN A GOOD WAY. When I knew exactly what it meant, I was like “WHAT?? Seriously? Awwwww!!!!” Literally. I am exagerrated like that. I don’t know if you find yourselves like that too when you unraveled something? Haha
I am super grateful that Colleen had made Holder into existence. I love his bad boy persona (if you don’t know him) and his commitment and dedication (when you get to know him). THESE qualities and much more are one of the reasons why I loved this book! He had been there for Sky — for better or for worse. And his undying love, care, devotion to the people that matters to him — I salute you man.
Sky. Oh Sky. Her life is pretty much normal, aside from the fact that her mom is a technophobe (weird) and she is home schooled, other than that everything seems ordinary — raging hormones, bullying at school, new friends, old friends, etc. it wasn’t until she met Holder that her real life slowly unraveled in front of her. I didn’t expect her past to be that intense or maybe I have just never read a story like it before. BUT GLAD I DID now.
I loved the whole process of uncovering her childhood life; she was adopted. Her parent was technophobe — weird? Well, there’s a story behind it and it will all make sense in the end. Any who, the ending pretty much disclosed everything and put to rest. It was a happy one, trust me.
I am trying my best not to spill anything guys, so help me out. I’m gonna cut this short. But seriously, it is one of the best reads I yet read. I gave it a 5 out of 5! I wish, they make this into a movie!!! PLEASE SOMEONE. Make this into a movie!!!
