Book Title: The Mirror And The Maze
Book Series: The Wrath And The Dawn Book 1.5

Summary: The city of Rey is burning. With smoke billowing, fires blazing and his people fleeing, Khalid races back to defend his city, and protect his queen. But Khalid is too late to do either. He and his men arrive to find the city in ruins, nothing but a maze of destruction, and Shahrzad is gone. But who could have wrought such devastation? Khalid fears he may already know the answer, the price of choosing love over the people of Rey all too evident.
This is a novella or an accompaniment of The Wrath And The Dawn novel. A short story told on Khalid’s events— of the time when he left the palace and then a storm plagued his city and almost ruined it; the time Shazi fled the city in hopes to find answers to end the curse and the looming war and also to see her family too. That was basically where book 1 ended. Upon starting book 2, I never knew these novellas existed. This novella greatly helped me (even if it’s short told) see what transpired Khalid to act in such a way during the beginnings of book 2; his actions were a bit odd to say but reading this novella, and I wished I did before starting book 2, I finally understood.
